Mel's Classic Diner

Good food! Friendly and upbeat workers! Great music from a jukebox! Prices reasonable! A true Classic Diner that brought back good memories! I wish they offered chocolate cake on the dessert menu ....

Every time we plan a trip to Tennessee, we make sure we stopped at Mel's at least once. We ended up being able to get in twice this time! They have the best cheese fries in the world. They also make an amazing BLT! We went late one night for midnight snack and tried the cobbler and it was really good. I haven't found anything that Mel's doesn't do well. We look forward to visiting again.

I'd give this restaurant 6 stars. Food was excellent dinner fare. Cheese sticks were excellent the entrees were fantastic. The banana split was perfect. We had Flo as our waitress and she worked her way to a 30% tip. I can't even explain the decor it's mega retro.

Food was great, shakes were fantastic, and service was lovely. Everyone in our party was satisfied. Such a cool place. It's so cozy and authentic. We went during lunch rush and didn't have to wait very long for our food once we got seated, which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back. I wish I'd eaten more than once while in town!

Nice little 'greasy spoon' type joint right off of the Parkway. Prices are very affordable and the food is good. It looks small, and it is, but they have fast service and great servers. You'll be seated and get your order in no time. Our server was pleasant and checking in with us frequently to make sure our drinks were filled and our food was good. Breakfast food is available all day.
