We went for first time. We had our 3 grandsons with us. Very picky eaters. We waited 90 minutes but so worth it. We had the catfish , Frye’s chicken, spare ribs the catfish was so tender we could hardly get it on the plate. But get flavor. The Frye’s chicken was so moist tender the best Frye’s chicken I’ve ever had. We had the ribs they were so so. After eating the cream corn who needs dessert. Mac and cheese was so yummy the mashed potatoes were cold and very thick not smooth. Would I come there again most definitely. Oh and the banana pudding peach cobbler and chocolate yummy cake we’re to die for
This place really good to eat at. It gives you good portions to eat. This place is definitely worth the hour long wait at the beginning. I would really go back another time. The best food I ate there, was the chicken, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese. I really love the restaurant with the atmosphere and the nice staff. Nice place for the family. Though I would call ahead and make a reservation for the whole family if you can to skip the wait. Really enjoyed my time there with my family.
When we went, it was extremely crowded. Since we were more than a couple people we were made to order from the party menu. You receive 3 entrees, 2 or 3 vegetables, bread and one kind of dessert. They will refill the meat and vegetables as many times as necessary. I'm sorry to say, the entrees were extremely greasy. However, the vegetables were very tasty. I frown on food waste, so I was disappointed that members of party were not allowed to carry out any "left overs". I understand the restaurant's reasoning, keeping people from over ordering then carrying off the food. That was not the case for our party. This policy is printed on the menu and was told to us by our server.
You wait downstairs, when you're party is called, you go upstairs and wait again. There was only one small bench upstairs that barely seats three when you have an easy 2 dozen people standing. When you leave, there is no direct exit. You need to weave your way through the gift/souvenir shop.
Old style home cooking but no worth the price you pay. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I don't see the value.
It was a neat experience and I it's no e to talk about and share.with people but I won't go back.
Again the service was great, food was cooked correctly and it was hot. They honestly couldn't have done anything better its just wasn't impressive for such a steep price.
This place serves a great lunch and dinner. Go there hungry and they will fill you with wonderful food. There are tourist traps in Pigeon Forge, this is NOT one of those. These folks here know how to lay down some fine food on the table. The servers are friendly and enjoy their job too. The gift shop has a lot to see too.
