El Idolo

I decided to give em a try this past Sunday since my usual go to Mexican spot closed for good. The atmosphere was peaceful and mellow. The top shelf margarita hit the spot. I ordered the fajita nachos with steak, chicken, and shrimp. I gave 3 stars because the shrimp was kinda burnt.

Closer to authentic Mexican than Tex-Mex. I loved it, husband liked it. Tamale was very good, beef burrito and beef Taco were good. Chile Relleno was OK. The pepper was large and not quite cooked enough. The stuffing was good.

We love this place! The people are always friendly and the food is always on point!

Everything was perfect! Service was exceptional, food was delicious with huge portions, and the environment as a whole was wonderful! We will definitely be returning.

Me and my wife have been eating here since they opened. We consider ourselves foodies and have eaten at places all over the city and as others have mentioned this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Memphis, tucked away in Bartlett. We are both vegetarian and their veggie dishes beat any other. This is the only Mexican joint we've been to that includes large fresh vegetables in their entrees. The service is top notch and the drinks are always strong. We always have a great experience! Check it out.
