Excellent variety of vegetables, and choice of daily special all of which are announced on their phone recording. Deserts are baked fresh daily. Wait staff is always efficient and friendly. Always worth the wait!

Outstanding food and service. On our visit, collectively we had chicken and dumplings, fried okra, mashed potatoes, lima beans, and turnip greens. My son had green salad with chicken and also the fried ravioli appetizer. My only issue was sugar in the turnip greens, common in the South. I'm a southener but don't put sugar in vegetables. And, oh my, the blackberry cobbler was spectacular. Only better in my kitchen. We purchased a take-home cobbler. Will definitely be back.

Among all the "tourist" destinations the Memphis metro area might offer, The Silver Caboose belongs on most top 20 lists! The food is great. The atmosphere is "deep south." The vintage is from a golden era. Not a tourist? Just have lunch here every week. Life will be better!

Food is GREAT, always! The small town atmosphere and family owned nature make successive visits make you feel like you're visiting long time, dear friends of many years. Great food! Great service! Good prices! What more could you want?
