A small, tastefully done, clean and friendly environment! The menu is relatively simple, but I agree with the notion that it is much better to have a smaller menu done very well as compared to a complex menu that has some duds. The food was great, and seemed to be quite authentic. I will definitely eat here again and tell others to do the same. Thanks Mary!

Just ate at Mary's and loved it! I like the simple menu, but can see how others would want more choices. I'd rather have a small menu that's done right than a big menu that's only iffy. The prices seem a little high, but the food is great. Mary's personality made the difference, though; she's so welcoming and genuine. We chatted about how she makes the food (the pan fried potatoes I recommend highly!).

My wife and I were at Mary,s German restaurant two weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised by the decor-- The food was very typical German flavor and choices--- If one is looking for a normal usual German food place , this is certainly it-- Food was great -- Service was very fast-- Mary was very cordial as she took pictures of us .. We would certainly recommend this as my wife and I have eaten at over 30 different German restaurants including many in Germany and Switzerland .. If I didn,t live so far away , I would surely be there more often!!She even has a rolling video of most of Bavaria while eating-- such a memorable occasion.. Thanks Mary!!

We had a very poor experience and don't intend to return to Mary's German Restaurant. Our party of three had lived off and on for 14 years in Germany, loved eating German food while we were there, and thought we'd try Mary's. We had a very nice Server, but we were greatly disappointed in the food. This restaurant does not come close to preparing the meals they advertise on the menu. Two of us had wiener schnitzel and the other had bratwurst. The schnitzel was overly breaded, very dry and not very tasty. The bratwurst was over cooked and there was no German mustard. The sauerkraut seemed like it came right out of a can. The German potato salads that were part of our wiener schnitzel meals were ok - barely, but the pan fried potato side with the bratwurst meal was not good. And, for some reason, German bread is not offered as part of the meal. However, the German beer was authentic. Bottom line: poor German food, no German music - - not a good value for the $$$.

Authentic German food you will not find close to Memphis again. Super atmosphere and finally some good german beer. Yes the place is a little pricier than other places, but everything is handmade and not like all the franchise restaurants were everything is boxed up and thrown on the grill for a few minutes and served to you. Thumbs up. You will definitly love it there!!!!
