Partner and I had the tasting menu & wine pairing. Everything was very good, the wait staff were great and the place is very cozy. Two things to keep in mind, the parking is valet and despite the nice bourbon/scotch selection they do not serve neat pours in a glencairn. Thankfully I did not order any of the more expensive pours before finding that out.
Great food for a special occasion. I had a tiny pasta dish - if the portions were larger I could see myself here more often! Service was excellent.
Delicious, quaint. Feels like you are having dinner in someone's home. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Not stuffy. Don't let the prices drive you away. Have a wonderful meal from the chefs. 5 course selected by the chefs for $65. Seems like a lot but you got five awesome and evenly paced portions with a nice size portion for each course. As our waitress said "you will be full, but you'll be able to get up and walk and not feel overly stuffed! "???? Will definitely be back. The menu changes frequently.
The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was unbelievably good. Started with the A|M Breakfast which was unique and flavorful. Wanted to order a second one. For the second course I got the MaMa's raviolis which were just a very good classic beef ravioli in meat sauce. For third course I got the scallops which were well cooked but lacked a sear on one side. That did the overall dish was well composed and I all but liked the plate.
Where to start. Wow. Andrew Michael is one of the most well regarded restaurants in the city and I absolutely now know why. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simple, but intimate. Too many times restaurants of this quality feel too sterile and uptight, not this place. On to the food, every course was absolutely delicious and fresh. My partner and I split the meal and they split our portions for us before they brought it out to save us the hassle. At the end of the night we got dessert. When I say the toffee pudding might be the greatest dessert I've ever had, I do not say that lightly. I am a dessert fanatic and the touches to this dish are absolute genius. Would 100% recommend going here for drinks, dinner or just to hang out.
