Love this place! Always amazing. This time we sat in bar area. Waitress was wonderful and food was delicious as always.
Have been hearing this name since so long, but I wasn’t much satisfied after the visit.
I have tried Hibachi in other places and liked them way better.
First of all, despite being a group of 6 people’s, we had to share our Hibachi table with two other strangers.
In other Hibachi places, before they start cooking the actual meals, they would show some tricks with knives and fire, which is very entertaining. Here, the chef started to cook directly. Since, I and one of my friend told that we were sharing, the food was offered in one plate. We had to ask for extra plate and divide everything on our own.
One of the friend ordered veg noodles, the quantity was equal to a side.
Before, the chef started to cook, he removed gum from his mouth. We had to tell him to wash his hands and come before he started to cook. Though he abided, it’s a basic hygiene measure which should be instilled in all employees.
Fried rice and other entrees tasted good.
The service was wonderful and the food was grilled to perfection. The fried rice with garlic butter, eggs, and chicken was fantastic, as was the zucchini and shrimp. They provide everyone that orders the hibachi with an onion and mushroom soup and a ginger salad. I also had their sake, which truly tasted like rice wine.
Benihana has lost the warmth and charm it once had. We ordered the steak from the regular menu. The wait time was inordinately long, the food was good, but the expected performance was lacking. I was surprised to know the fried rice was an additional charm. Our experience was fair.
