We had lovely cocktails at the bar. Kirby was a great bartender. Can't wait to go back foe dinner.
The Bishop is a culinary gem and should be considered a jewel in crown of Memphis’ top tier dining establishments! The decor and ambiance are aesthetically pleasing. I truly felt like I had been transported to a chic Parisian eatery! The menu is chalked full of pungent culinary delights melding French cuisine with a Southern American flare; they have truly discovered a winning paradigm. Every single person I encountered from junior servers and hosts to the management team were exceptionally charming and efficient. I especially was impressed by our waiter Jon. He is exponentially talented and enchanting to each patron. I’m excited to witness the new heights this restaurant can achieve as they refine their already winning formula.
I love seeing A | M branch out with a French concept. As expected from these folks, the food and service are top-notch. They knocked it out of the park with not only the menu, but also the ambiance.
Complex flavors melt together like a symphony to achieve culinary bliss! Potato and leek soup had large chunks of pork, an impossibly creamy base and the potatoes held their own in texture. Coq au vin featured a beautifully bronzed chicken breast atop a sauce that was TO DIE FOR! I found myself moving slowly through the dish just to savor every bite. The banana and chocolate pot de crème was silky smooth and added texturing with banana chips. The whole experience at Bishop was fabulous and I will definitely be back. Thanks A&M for another fabulous option in Memphis. You've got a patron for life!
I work as a chef there
