Formosa Chinese Restaurant

Maybe the best value meal I’ve had in America. Tasty, big portion size, and a decent atmosphere.

It had been 16 years since we had been in Memphis and made plans to eat at this restaurant which brought in tons of customers. I had the veggie shrimp and it was as lovely as I remembered it. They bring you a spring roll and a fried wing, later they bring the small soup and then the entree. Always hot with plenty of won ton chips to go into the soup. Wonderful as I remembered eating with my husband.

Formosa is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. The food is excellent and comes out really fast. The food is also not expensive and us worth the cost. The environment makes you have this calm mood. Best restaurant by far.

We found Formosa on accident and fell in love. It is now our go to for special occasions and is well worth the 30 minute drive for us. Favorites are the steamed dumplings on vegetables and the orange chicken. The sweet and sour pork is amazing because the sauce is NOT the red goop you get everywhere else. It is real sweet and sour sauce. The only real issue we have is fighting over the leftovers the next day.

This is my favorite restaurant for Chinese food. Today's lunch met their high standards. Our family frequently orders take out but today my niece and I dined there. Lunches are a feast and the prices are right. I had my favorite Hunan Shrimp. Their hot and sour soup is the best and soup came with the meal.
