The King putting the smackdown on Memphis.
LOL I love the nostalgia of the decor. Reminds me of Saturday night watching WRAS'LIN!! as a kid.
The BBQ is Memphis style. A molasses/honey base sauce and smoked meat with a dry rub.
Pictured is the 2 meat meal, with fries and green beans. I like to mix the Original and Spicy to get a good mix. The brisket is tender and juicy. The Chicken is tender and not too dry like a lot of bbq places. Fries are a little too sweet for my taste. Green beans are spicy and seasoned.
Pros: Fair price point, generous portion sizes, friendly staff, fast service.
Cons: Not central to anything outside of Cordova, small eating area, sweet fries
Great food. Phenomenal service. I had the brisket, but ate it too fast to snap a picture. However, I did get a shot of my dessert... the peach cobbler. It was equally as amazing as the entree. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
If you have not eaten at this place I don't know what you are doing with your life. Friendly staff with AMAZING food. I would eat a piece of drift wood if it had the King's BBQ sauce on it.
Really good bbq. The sandwich was big and really tender. Great service as well. Give it a shot.
I went July 17 (Wednesday), around 1:30. Got the usual pulled bbq sandwich with Cole slaw, fries and drink. It was awesome. Seriously. I only can give it two thumbs up because my body only has two thumbs. Juicy, nicely flavored BBQ, the red salt fries were also good. It was all good. Place had macaroni and cheese. This will be my next trip.
Staff was very friendly and attentive, place was very clean and free refills from the 21st Century drink machine.
Great place Jerry! Even Jimmy Hart would dig it!
