Memphis Indian Restaurant

This is a brand new addition in Memphis area. It’s located inside a Mediterranean grocery. The neighbourhood and the grocery both look a little shady. Although the restaurant was packed. This is a typical telugu/ Andhra style food place. I called them and ordered well ahead and even when I arrived the order was not ready! Anyways I didn’t mind- they prepared everything hot and fresh. The girl at the front desk was very inefficient. Even though I paid for goat/ mutton biriyani I discovered that she handed me the chicken biriyani!! The biriyani was good. The portion size was humongous. However, it was super spicy and quite oily. The chicken 555 was tasty and too hot and spicy for me. It looks like - even if I told them to make the order in medium spicy way, they didn’t care. There were slices of cakes/ pastries available and I got a slice of rashamalai cake- it was excellent. It was fresh, juicy, and moist with all the flavors. It was not too sweet, or heavy. I highly recommend it.

Update: I delivered chicken 65, and a masala dosa through Uber eats. Both of them were pretty decent.

The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff friendly and eager to please. I am never disappointed when I eat here. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

Best place for Indian and our Andhra food. Felt at home. Best sambar in US I ever had.

Great tasting food … biryani was exquisite both the goat biryani and dim biryani was amazing … Rasam was cherry on top …
We were visiting from out of town but will definitely our spot every time we are in town

Their omelette and dessert was too good in this restaurant and the whole THALI was delicacy by its looks 🔥🔥🔥
