Advertised Hours Are Incorrect. We arrived a little past 10:00 and was seat and gave our waiter our order. At 10:25 the bartender shut all the TVs and music off. Apparently they are not open until midnight and they make the restaurant extremely quiet to discourage customers from coming in and feeling comfortable to stay around. The atmosphere for dinner quickly changed and unfortunately we canceled our order. Our waiter was great and did try to make things better as much as he could.
So our server, Joy was just that, a joy! My salmon however, not quite. It was actually almost raw in the middle & definitely COLD.
My wife was yearning for scallops but could only get them w/ shrimp. Sounds good but they were prepared together I think & as they have a different consistency, were all a little 'Chewy'.
On the flip side, her Sangria was so good, I ordered one -- unusual for me. I quite enjoyed it.
We've had their key lime pie before when we ate at Pearl's downtown -- this wasn't as good.
All in all, we'll probably go to the downtown one again but I think we'll pass on the Cordova location in the future. I would have thought the new location would have got through the teething process but ....
I must admit the replacement salmon was acceptable but overall, the bill, $71.00 was overpriced based on the total experience.
The 3* is not for our server -- it's for the total experience.
Their charbroiled oysters are stupendous. First time i had oysters. I was always nervous about trying them, but i think this was a great way to have them. I think the entrees feel a bit pricey because the sides are pretty basic, but everything we got was delicious. Do not recommend the daquiris, did not taste fresh, very syrupy and way too sugary, no real fruit flavor - but that's not why we went, and its not going to keep us from going back.
