Waited longer than needed to because either cashier misspelled my name or person calling people to pick up orders couldn't read my name on the ticket or just mispronounced my name. I waited while the order was ready.

When I visit it's always a good experience except getting lock in the bathroom! The door got jammed on me. Food was good, but HOT AS EVER in the bathroom UNTIL someone heard me screaming, "HELP ME!"

Best place in the city to get some good ole soul food. I love their chop steaks mac & yams thats my favorite dish to get . But its loads of entrees & side combonations to choose from. So please if you got a taste for some good down souf soul food, Southern Hands is the place to go baby.

The audicity of me to go to a well known soul food restaurant on a Sunday afternoon but I took my chances anyway..I stood in a line that was formed to the door; that was expected, got to the register was greeted with kindness and professionalism that you should have in any business. I ordered the lunch special, yes I said LUNCH SPECIAL (Served from 11-2 daily) that was a plus because I had the opportunity to catch a deal even on a Sunday! Hallelujah! Won't HE do it! My order was two grilled pork chops with green beans & black eye peas & meatloaf with cabbage, mac & cheese, and yams. Now all this cost $27 & some change just so you know. While standing there I almost got mad because my order was skipped, yes SKIPPED (too many people before and after me had gotten their meals and had left)! ...HOWEVER! When I asked where was my meal at, the staff corrected the skip in such a courteous and swift way..that any anger that I may have tried to have was immediately squashed! Fast forward to the taste test once I got home! & let me tell you the line needs to be down to Holmes Rd because ev-er-y-thang on my plates for me & my mom was delicious, flavorful, scrumdilliumptious I tell you!...So, run on down to the Southern Hands (on Mill Branch Rd where Coleman's Bbq used to be) and give them your business, your tummy will thank you!
