We are a full time RV family, and we stayed here for almost four months and absolutely loved it. Leo and Nettie have the gift of hospitality and they pour themselves into their campground. All the utilities were very reliable and safe. All of the other guests, short term or long term are extremely friendly and welcoming. The store has all kinds of products, the restaurant food and service are awesome, and the wildlife refuge has lots of beauty to explore. We weren't sure what to expect when we first arrived, but we are extremely grateful for the time we spent there.
Only stayed one night but my experience was great. Friendly and fun staff. Quiet campground. Easy access to water.
Took my kiddos for a glow and the dark Easter egg hunt and it was amazing! The people are awesome and there is country store before you go into the park and they have some amazing food and live music. Definitely glad I went!
This is a great spot for long term RV camping! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. There's also a family atmosphere. If you ever come here on New Year's be sure to try the Rib Dinner with black-eyed peas, cabbage & sauerkraut! 😋 The ribs practically fall off the bone! (Not stingy with the portions either)
the staff is very friendly - there are some quirks - 3.9% charge for using credit cards is one. If you are staying for business/work it is the park for you. Quite a few people live there - few lots are for campers. The lakes are beautiful but I would recommend the boat launches for your kayaks - the hill at the campgrounds is rough to climb. Not much for kids to do here - mostly adults at this campgrounds.
