Hometown Family Restaurant

My wife and I have eaten here several times. The food had always been great. But we were here on August 28 2019 and well it was just barely ok. The service was awesome but the food, not so much. We had breakfast. I had the hometown breakfast. 2 eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, biscuit and gravy. I also ordered a bowl of grits. Eggs were cooked well. Sausage patty was good. Bacon good. Ham was cold. Biscuits had the tell tell signs of microwaved to heat or reheat. Grits were cold. Overall I would eat here again. I was just a bit disappointed. Maybe it was an off day.

Stopped in for lunch with a couple of friends. I had the roast beef plate!! It was really good. However, the fried green tomatoes weren't all that good. More batter then tomatoes and they were tiny! Like they used a teeny tiny tomato. Otherwise it was great.

A wonderful little diamond of a restaurant in Dover. The food was very fresh and hot and delicious, service was amazing (never an empty drink) and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Prices are very fair too. Would highly recommend anyone in the area to visit.

I was very pleased with our first visit here. The menu options were plentiful and the food was very good. The schnitzel sandwich was ridiculously huge and ordering fries with it was unnecessary because it filled me up. The wait staff was very courteous and made us feel welcomed. I will definitely be going back.

The atmosphere was very relaxing, and it wasn't real noisy the way so many places are. The food was fine, and we got more than enough to eat! The staff was very friendly, and prices were reasonable. The only downside is that the service was slow. I have no doubt that we'll eat there again! I'd definitely recommend it!
