For anyone wondering that is not from this area, this restaurant has closed and been closed for about a year now. Always had good food, but they no longer exist

We ordered a pound of scallops for our appetizer. It tasted nice, a few were gritty.

For entrees, we had the fish and shrimp baskets. While we prefer larger shrimps, the flavor of the fried fish was excellent. I appreciate a light coating of breading and seasoning.

The manager who approached was mannerly and asked how our experience was. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best seafood around.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a very nice woman who seated us and our waitress was there in just a minute. She was bubbly and smiling like she was glad to see us. She was helpful and sweet. The food was really great. We will be sure to go again soon.

I was almost scared to eat here with all the poor reviews, but we had an excellent dinner here and will definitely be back! Our server was enthusiastic and attentive. We also appreciated her patience because we had a lot of questions about the beer and menu. The beer selection is huge (I loved the cider options). The food menu is not as large, but plenty of protein choices and options for grilled, blackened, or fried. We got the ahi tuna app “medium rare” so it was raw inside and it came with a tasty soy/A1 sauce which was surprisingly good. My husband got a low country boil which he enjoyed. I got the fried shrimp which is a rather basic dish, but it blew me away. I think it’s the flavor of their batter. I’m not a coleslaw person but I didn’t even touch my meal until I finished it, it was that good. We interacted with 2 other employees and they were both very friendly. It’s too bad that people seem to have a hit or miss experience here, we plan to go back and hope for the same wonderful experience we had this time!

My cousin treated me to "Surf and Brew" last week in celebration of my birthday. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Tomorrow, my boyfriend is taking me to eat lunch there and I can't wait! Although it advertises being an "oyster bar", it has a lot of different seafood, etc., and everything I ate was positively delicious! Everything tastes homemade, including the sauces. I don't like oysters, but my cousin told me that they were wonderful, too! The staff is attentive, professional, but also fun and very kind! The restaurant is very clean with a good atmosphere. They have a lovely area outside where you can sit and eat if you want to. The bartender does an excellent job! I'm secretly in love with the cook! Anyway, this restaurant comes highly recommended by me! You won't regret it and it may become YOUR favorite seafood restaurant, too!
