Richie's Hot Wings

It's THE BOMB . . The best Cajun chicken and Cajun hot wings north of Louisiana, hands down. I've known Richie for 22 years, since his years on Old Hickory Blvd then Hendersonville. I don't think there's more nutritious healthy better tasting chicken in the world. I always get the same thing -- Hot wings with celery sticks and dressing, and the Cajun chicken on a bed of dirty rice with the creamy slaw on the side. I actually dreamed Ritchie's hot wings one time. It's to die for! "When I go to Heaven I hope Richies is there"

These are quite possibly the best chicken wings on the face of the planet!! Richie is a master!! I wish that I lived closer I would probably be in here every day. His prefect hot sauce is amazing, the perfect blend of flavor and spice. Do not overlook this place you will highly regret not stopping in.

I stopped by one evening after biking in Tennessee. A friend at work had been singing Richie's praises and I needed to see what it was about.

The place is a bit off the beaten path if you're not form the area, but not terribly difficult to find. When we stepped in there was a sign saying they were short handed and a party of 15-20 seated in the front room with another family in a booth playing Fluxx (my kind of people).

It turns out Richie was doing it all, greeter, server, cook so we knew there would be a wait and there was. After we ordered (Richie suggested getting the Perfect Hot sauce) it was around 45 minutes before we got our food and thankfully it was worth the wait. The Perfect Hot sauce is the best wing sauce I have ever had, period. It's that good. It's actually pretty mild but has an amazing flavor while staying a true buffalo sauce.

Seriously, go out of your way to try this. Amazing!

Best hot wings on the planet. Richie has an incredible special hot sauce I recommend everyone try at some point in their life. I've eaten quite a few wings, but Richie's has me coming in on almost a weekly basis. Affordable, great owner, clean dining area, this place checks all the boxes. 5/5

Perfect for ordering to-go. It’s OK to dine in if you don’t mind waiting as it’s cooked to order and the owner takes care of most everything. Food is great from what all options I’ve tried.

If any place was ever worth the wait, this is definitely it. We ordered the Richie's Burger, and a dozen hot wings. Got them home, and the food was still hot, and oh man was it good. The "perfect hot" was just that, spicy and full of flavor but without the face melting hotness (he does have a hotter sauce, but I didn't try them this time). The wings were large, not tiny like you get at the chain stores, and evenly covered and so very juicy. I will definitely be making this my go-to spot for wings from here on out, and their burgers/etc were also very good. They are pretty much a 1 (or 2) person show, so it does take them a bit longer to get the food ready, but that seems to be because they take so much care preparing it.

Wish I was able to give more than 5 stars, as I have been hunting for a good wing place that doesn't "smoke" their wings, and this place definitely lived up to all the good buzz I had heard of it.
