Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

First time to eat there. It was fantastic. It's better than I could have guessed. Believe the hype. It's not gus's world famous fried chicken for nothing.

These ppl are not friendly at all. The beans and slaw are really good. I don't eat hot chicken everyone says it's good. Need to smile more they look depressed

The food was great but the service was slow and my seasoned fries were just plain crinkle cut fries.i don't know if they made a mistake or they just passed them off as seasoned fries. We didn't realize this until we got home. It was an order to go. So since I wasn't able to question them, I will just call it a mistake.

I appreciate my chicken being cooked to order, and the prices are cheaper than the other locations in Memphis. They also gave more condiments than other locations. At the others you have to pay extra for more than one sauce cup and I received 2 salad pouches of honey mustard and ketchup. However, this location in Mason does not serve their greens that I love as their other locations in Memphis, their fries were hot out the grease but plain flavored & had black specks all over them, & the macaroni was a disappointment and a different recipe than the cheesy goodness at the others. My personal favorite location is the one on S. Mendenhall. I pay a couple of dollars more would be my only complaint there but it's worth it.
