Smooth Rapids Outfitters

Smooth Rapids is wonderful restaurant just a couple minutes from downtown McMinnville. The owner is friendly and your glass stays full! The menu was surprisingly broad! I'm really glad I found this place! You should try them out! Check their hours though before you go. I think the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Yummy food. Enjoyed the trivia night even if we weren't very good. Nice dining area outside.

After going to a concert at Cumberland Caverns, my husband and I remembered Smooth Rapid Outfitters had a restaurant as we had used their shuttle service last year while kayaking. The food was good, we ate outside on the upper deck. Service was great and it was quite crowded. Best of all - COLD beer! We will return if we are in the area again.

Came in for lunch while in town for training. There were 4 of us in our group. We sat at a table and were greated very quickly. Waitress was pleasant, there when we needed her, but didn't hover at our table. Food came out quickly and tasted incredible. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. I peaked over the door into the kitchen and noticed that it was extremely clean. As a restaurant worker myself, I know how bad those hoods can get and theirs was shining. Will definitely return here when I'm back in town.

Awesome place to launch your kayaks! There is a fee to launch and they also offer shuttle service. Worth every penny of the fee. Very friendly staff and the restaurant offers great burgers and fries (if you order a burger they will waive the launch fee.... Insiders tip :-) ) The river is one of the best in middle Tennessee in my opinion.
