Costa Chica Grill

First off I really wanted to like this place but can’t say I had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming so that was a positive. But that’s where the positive ends for me, the quesabirria has little flavor and just tastes bland. The cheese they used was nice in it but no wonderful flavors like you would normally have when getting birria. The beans we ordered as a side also tasted burnt and were super bland as well. And finally the service was very slow, yes I do understand places are short staffed. But there were maybe 10 people in the restaurant total and it still took 30 minutes to get our food. I will go back and try another dish because I believe in trying a place multiple times to give them the best chance. But as of now this place is not high on my list.

Great atmosphere, Cool vibe inside including music which is not too loud 🙂. Complimentary nachos were outstanding, the salsa is wonderfully sneaky spicy and not overpowering. Service was great. Had the best chicken quesadilla of my life so flavorful and tortilla shell grilled to perfection.

I do have one complaint though, I live 90 miles from here 🤣

I read a one star review that said the food wasn't typical for this area and then a 5 star review from someone from Texas who said something like it was almost as good as home. That was enough for me to know I needed to try it. And oh wow is it good! The portions are big and the food is super flavorful. Nothing on the plate is a dry afterthought. Going back again tonight for more!

Me and the wife went here cause we heard about this place from a friend. Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in a long time because I am from Texas and I've not had any good Barbacoa up here. It was done just right to where it reminded me of home. The chicken fajitas were so phenomenal. The atmosphere was just right and the servers. There were so nice. it reminded me of an old Mexican restaurant. I used to go to down there it was a little mom and pop shop. If you're in the area. I highly recommend this place and give it a try. And they even have to where you can buy fresh tortillas and also their own store to buy mexican items.

our first time here and was absolutely amazing!! we had the barbacoa and the mixed fajitas (chicken & steak). our server was anthony, though he mainly hosts, we had the opportunity to be waited on by him. he had such a great attitude and he was very attentive and never let our drinks run out. I would recommend eating here and then checking out their store and butcher shop. again, thank you anthony!!!
