Fresh Start Restaurant

George and Diane (yes, they introduced themselves) decided to open just for us on Labor Day because we were going to be in town to celebrate a birthday. George was to cater an event this morning and decided to open for us when we called to see if they would be available to host our party.

We've been here a couple of times now and the food gets better and better. If you're looking for great food that is prepared from scratch and lovingly served, this is the place.

Portions are pretty massive. And George offers an interesting take on traditional foods, such as his country fried prime rib. Yes, you read that right.

He also does wonders with barbecued pork and chicken. Come for the steak tips and stay for the roast turkey club sandwich. They also have great baked goods.

Now, this is not fine dining. You eat on disposable plates with plastic cutlery unless you get the steak. Then you get the real eating tools. :-)

The best part of the meal is the fact that you were treated like family. By the time we left, we felt like we had met long lost cousins -- who can really cook!!

Their deserts are where they shine. The eclairs and the creams are amazing. I'll be going back to try their lemon icebox. George and Diane are an amazingly friendly set of people! :-)

Excellent fresh food all homemade including an incredible accomplished dessert menu. I ate here twice in less than 24 hours good.

My bf and i loved this quaint little restaurant. Delicious food and lovely employees/owner. I wish we didnt live so far from this place. We were there visiting the area.

This place is so awesome! The food is phenomenal ???? definitely will he back! You get great food for such a good price.
