This is a nice family restaurant. My best friend is a semi truck driver. I meet him there, when he is in town. Last time he was in town. I was there for a few hours. They never ask me to leave. So if you have friends or family passing through. This would be a great place to meet up. And good food, I always have a good visit. When my friend passes through.
The garlic steak very good. A little slow on service...but wasn't in hurry anyway. Overall a decent Denny's.
I give this location 5 Todd Stars...
We drive up to find a man staring at the trees on the other side of the parking lot, and a woman struggling to back out of a space with nothing in her way. As we enter the eatery, the tree watching man finally sneezes the sneeze of the century, heard 100 feet away. The woman struggling to leave probably heard him from inside the vehicle.
As we wait to be seated, a man who was definitely a sheep dog in a past life ran in, stopped to shake his hair side to side so to see his surroundings, and returned his gaze to the floor as he ran to the adjacent gas station.
We then had a great meal with matching service.
At check out, we were accosted by a sober woman who insisted my friend looked like her friends’ ex-husband’s son. “Do you know Todd Star?” is how she decided to break the ice. We insisted we did not and we were not from the area.
Instead of ending the interaction there, my gentle steps towards the door were ignored while she lead what was essentially a one person conversation. Topics included Alabama football, the Cincinnati Reds, her sons birthday, and something about gathering volunteer physicians for an event. Most importantly, we learned about the legendary Todd Star.
Star lives up to his name by excelling in his field as a farrier. If you need shoes put on a horse, go to Todd or one of his well trained apprentices. He is the best in the business and cares about all things equine.
If you want a good meal surrounded by local culture, this Denny’s is a great choice. Especially if it’s a late Friday night.
Kids were missing California so I hit em with a Denny's. It was more like a Waffle House with the employees yelling at each other and arguing (that's actually what I like about Waffle House). Anyways, it was decent but there were some rough edges. Coffee was cold, steak was cooked wrong. But our waitress was super friendly and did the best job she could for the circumstances going on around her. I'll try it again just to see if it was an off day.
