I would eat here a thousand times in a year, although almost never for the food. I would eat here because it's across from a church and a barber shop; the school bus picks up kids out front; the chatter is lively; laughter is genuine and the decor is of old Black and White photographs. The biscuits are good, the hash browns are dry and the coffee is hot.
My grandson, Landon Holloway came to have lunch with me today..he said best burger he's had even him working his way thru college via restaurant jobs
Great home cooked food at a reasonable price. Service is a 'little' slow but mainly because it is always full of people. Highly recommend
Oh my goodness. The food was hot and absolutely amazing! We all had chicken and dumplings with various sides. I have to order an extra bowl next time we come because my toddler ate most of mine! They do breakfast and dinner with daily specials. The fried squash I had was exactly how my grandmother made it. I didn't realize how much I missed hers until I had theirs! I will very highly recommend this place to anybody wanting home cooked southern food.
If you are a vegetarian then this is not the place for you. The vegetables are bland from the perspective of a vegetarian.
Your only option is to order vegetables by themselves. The menu has no vegetarian dishes and that is fine because they don't advertise any. If you are the typical meat and three type person, then you will love the place. This is a typical small town country style cafe. The people are friendly and service is good.
