    Reputation preceded this place. Maybe it was the end of the day. Someone told me it was worth the drive from BeaumontTexas.gov as it was, we drove 30 minutes (and 30 back) out of our way. ‘Twas good. I’ve had better. Relatively Expensive. Obviously a local legend. The inside of this old restaurant was great! Very old school- like 1970’s? I enjoyed that more than the Q. ;-)

    Meh. Maybe I expected more from their advertisements, but I wasn't really impressed. Service was good, food was ok. Smoked chicken, and chopped brisket were run-of-the-mill. Beans, meh, coleslaw was good. Everything was fresh, but portions were small for the prices. Not bad, just didn't live up to the hype.

    This is the best Bar B Q in American if can drive a thousand miles or more this place is worth a read trip with over one hundred years in the business the meat was tender juice not overly smoked but not under smoked if you think you have had exelent BBQ you have not until you have had the food here the sides are to die for the homemade bread the best and the sauce is a top secret served on the side like it should so the meat is not covered up more to come I am so full I can't type any more.......
