China A Super Buffet

Eat as slow as you want and as much as you want. The food is good and always fresh. Not great but good. It's easy to over eat. The staff has always been friendly.

I have family in Rockport and I insist we go to China A every time I visit. I’ve probably been here ten times since Hurricane Harvey. The food and service is always top notch. Especially the seafood! It’s so fresh and well prepared.
I think some people are reluctant to give this place a five star rating because it doesn’t have servers with bow ties placing a cloth napkin on your lap (creepy). I give it 5 stars for consistency, variety, flavor, service, value and cleanliness.

Arrived at this Restaurant at about 7:15 p.m. all you can eat seafood and Chinese. Service was great and our Wait Person was very attentive and friendly. We’re not All-You-Can-Eat type of people but we decided to give it a try. I liked the Raw Oysters and and Crab Legs along with all the other Chinese Foods! They had a “To Order” Stir Fry Bar where you pick what you want stir fried and they cook it for you while you wait! Very nice! Food was continually being brought out as well as the many deserts. They did have a serve yourself hard dipped ice cream bar with eight flavors. The hiccup was that they only had four raw oysters and once I scooped them up they didn’t bring any more out. Price was $11.50 Dinner All You Can Eat while the Lunch Menu was advertised at $8.50. We shall return! My qualifications as an Expert and Experienced Food and Service Critic; I have a BS in Management and have been trained in two Culinary Schools, to include on the job training at other venues. I’ve managed full service as well as fast food restaurants and have had my own successful Catering business. As a Trainer, I have trained personnel on how to provide superb cuisine and customer service. At the age of 73, I am now retired and enjoy being on the other side of the Apron.

Nice decorations. The art is beautiful. They didn't have a big selection, nor are they super clean. The food is okay. I only got 2 things which were the spicy chicken and ship and the lo mien. I went surfing loch so they were not crowded and I do not know how the dinner items taste but from my experience it was a 4 out of 10. The customer service, the items I liked and the decor, are the only reasons I would go here but still those are not good enough.
