    Southside Bastrop is an amazing place. The staff are happy and helpful. The entire place is clean and has a family atmosphere. You can stop in for a business lunch or a quick bite. The food is amazing from brisket to beans, cooked to perfection.

    Not sure what came over my husband and I today as we are 98% vegetarian… But driving by Southside market in Bastrop we both thought it sounded good. We stopped in, and are so glad we did! If one is going to leave the plant based reservation completely, might as well go full force with phenomenal quality. We were not disappointed in our combo sandwiches or the turkey plate. Served by friendly employees, efficient, clean, and absolutely great stop. Now back to kale.

    It was okay, potato salad was just mayo based, mac n cheese was gritty. Chicken was excellent but brisket didn't have much flavor. Tried the blackberry cobbler it was so so

    Oldest BBQ in TX. A classic place. This us their newer location, so gorgeous wood building. Most famous for their sausage, I love their pork ribs. Also have lamb, brisket, etc.
