It was great. The food was very good and the place is so clean. I highly recommend it ????
Is there anything I can say that can add to Legendary perfection? I'd say unlikely. If you are a Barbeque connoisseur, you have not completed your quest for quality meat without passing through Elgin and eating here. I was told that if something is not cooked to perfection, it does not make it past the firepit door.
Pro tip: Ask one of the staff (I spoke with David) you want to know more about the history place and you will be given a tour behind the counter. Worth it and you will learn something about how perfect meat is made.
I love this place! The brisket and turkey breast is my favorite! A lot of variety of sides, every time I go it’s super busy and food never disappoints!! If you’re driving by, this is a must stop! ????
This place is legendary. Has been my favorite BBQ since I was a little kid. Sausage is the best around, brisket is fabulous and all the sides are delicious as well. Love the bbq sauce station as they keep it warm for you. This place is a must if you’ve never had, and if you have been there then I don’t even need to convince you.
This is absolutely one, if not the best place in Texas for BBQ. So much so that we drove an hour and a half from Waco just to eat here. We both had the brisket and sausage plate with 2 sides and 2 large drinks. For the sides, I had the coleslaw and the macaroni. My wife had the potato salad and the macaroni. My wife said that the brisket was the best she had ever had and that's definitely saying something. I agree since it literally melts in your mouth. Everything was absolutely perfect including the sweet tea. It was definitely enough food to get very full on. After the lunch croud died down, I got in touch with the manager Kevin and let him know how far we drove just to eat here. He was very friendly and came over to our table just to meet my wife and the baby and to thank us for coming such a long way just to eat there. He even hooked up our baby with a free scoop of ice cream and a couple of slices of sausage for coming such a long way. It was totally worth the drive and I can't wait until we can make the trek again.
