The Waffle Den

This place is out of the way and totally worth the trip. The selection of waffles is great and the chicken is ridiculous. The owner is very friendly and attentive and even though they don't necessarily have servers the people working the counter were great. Add on top of that the prices are affordable and I can say with 100% certainty I will come back again and again.

This place is SO good! Everyone was so incredibly nice and the waffles were fantastic. I got the red velvet waffle and it was heavenly. We haven't stopped talking about it since. We'll definitely be in frequently . The food is DELICIOUS... some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever eaten It is definitely a hole in the wall joint, but they always have the best food. Great food, great service! One of my favorite places to eat in Killeen. Waffles are huge and you have a large variety to choose from. The red velvet waffles are my fave, a MUST try!

Upon entering the atmosphere is very friendly and warm. The prices are really great. The differing choices of waffles to choose from is great. The chicken is nicely seasoned. I think this place has a lot of potential. I had one of their specialty waffles and it was delicious. If this rating was based on just the waffles, I'd give 4 stars. Their customer service is great and attentive and the employees there actually work hard.The dine in experience, however left some things to be desired. This place has a very nostalgic humble feel to it, which I think is a special feel almost everyone can relate to. However that feel is very tangible with the giant black trash can by the front door with the broken lid, grime on the register, grime on the hand sanitizer bottles, sauce bottles, fold up chairs/ tables etc. Come and enjoy the delicious waffles, but don't expect fancy. The lines are long and so is the wait time.

Got the red velvet and original waffle with a side has brown and turkey sausage.
The flavor of the waffles was amazing waffles we're very light and fluffy and the syrup / icing matched the waffles perfectly. Only thing I could wish was they were a little crisper on the outside.
Inside and atmosphere are a little lacking but not detrimental.
