Johnny's Steaks & Bar-Be-Que

The food is always delicious, but I have to give them 3 stars because their attentiveness to tables leaves a lot to be desired. We always dine in the cantina and the experience is always the same. Having worked in the food service/hospitality industry I find their lack of any kind of system disappointing. They have the product mastered, but improvement of the service of that product to customers would make this a 5 star visit every time.

Johnny's Steaks & Bar-Be-Cue is hands down one of the best places I have ever been to in central Texas. Their steak is on par with any of the fancy steakhouses I have ever been to. The service is outstanding and everyone was incredibly friendly. You would be doing yourself, your family and potentially generations to come a disservice if you don't eat a steak at Johnny's at least once in your life.

Granger Smith concert was awesome and very cool. It was so cold that if Granger would have walked in a circle he would have made an ice skating rink. Family fun, great music and wonderful food. Amazing!!

Had the all you can eat ribs. They are great! Waitress was on top of everything. Never ran out of tea or ribs. Cole slaw has a great taste too. Coworkers got chicken fried steak and a barbeque bowl. They said their food was great. Definitely not a 5 star restaurant but if you like home town down to earth god food in a rustic environment this is your place. Super easy access right off the interstate is great too!

What can I say that hasn’t been said? Enjoyed the all you can eat ribs on a Thursday night. Fall off the bone delicious! Coleslaw was good. I didn’t care for the potato salad, but everything else was fantastic. Ate at about 6:30pm. Only had to wait about 5 mins for a clear table. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!
