Party of 8 looking for some BBQ on way back to Austin from Waco. Found this place on Google reviews. Menu had lots of choices, I had 3 meats: brisket, pork ribs and clem's sausage. All were excellent. Broccoli salad and Cole slaw. Service was very good and atmosphere was like eating in an old lodge. Lots of entertainment .Prices were reasonable. Would recommend it.
Pretty good BBQ and other food here. They've gone quite a bit commercial recently. I remember back when it was just BBQ. All in all...nice place to go for almost anything now. I miss their slow smoked brisket over the faster stuff but its still not bad.
Great food. I had the 1/3 lb. burger, and hubby had the bbq ribs and brisket. Everything was very good. And our server Ruby was excellent!
Great service. Reasonable prices. Warm atmosphere. Wonderful menu selections.
Recently selected the grilled shrimp with broccoli side. OMG, mouth watering scrumptious!
Restrooms are spotless.
Ask for Parker or Kristy when being seated. Both are top shelf performers. You will enjoy their wisdom about menu selections and their effervescent personalities !
Enjoy your experience at Clem's. It will be memorable.
I was on my way from Dallas to San Antonio a couple of years ago. Prior to getting to Temple my then 88 year old mom calls my cell phone and says "Hey son, have you gotten to Temple yet?" I said "not yet" and she comes back with "I need you to stop at a place called Clem Mikeska's Bar-b-q in Temple" and proceeded to give me her order of a pound of this and that...
I was at over $75.00 by the time I left. Fast forward. I get to S.A. and me and mom gorged
on BBQ. I'm impressed as this was some damn fine BBQ and fixings. She and my dad used to stop there when he was alive. Both of them in my opinion are pit masters in their own right so of they loved this place that is respect. I try to stop there every time I go south on I-35. Fast friendly service and my fave is the sausage.
