Great place!!! Nice vibe ! They know how to feed you. No salt or pepper needed
I've tried three things here, fried catfish & shrimp and gumbo. I can speak on these things only. The fish and shrimp were ok. If you looking for crispy then bypass this place. Nothing crispy about the fried fish or shrimp. Don't let the pictures fool you like it did me. It's a soft fish and shrimp. Gumbo???? This is some kind of chicken noodle soup or something but not gumbo! Zero flavor!
So far hands down the best fried fish you can find around here. Always fresh, always hot, and just the perfect amount of breading. I'm sold! And that's definitely saying something. Watch out for portions tho. You may think you're hungry, but I bet you order way to much like I did my first time. The fish is huge!
VERY GENEROUS PORTIONS. HOT, FRESH AND DELICIOUS. BIG SHRIMP. YUMMY FRIES. GREAT WAIT STAFF. WISH THEY HAD MORE SIDES. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!
Just finished dinner here and have to say the food was excellent. Restaurant was clean and packed full of people. Phone was ringing off the hook with orders. Because of that, allow for a wait. Was told 30 minutes for a table but was seated in 12 minutes. Food took a little long to come out however was definitely worth the wait. I buy shrimp to cook from HEB and I can always taste something like a dirt taste. These shrimp were clean, huge and seasoned well. The fish was crunchy to perfection on the outside and seasoned perfectly. The inside was tender and not dry. Didn’t even want to use tarter sauce with the fish. Fries were good and the green beans were alright. Could of used a little more flavor. The red beans and rice were excellent as the coleslaw. They did run out of ice and silverware but they had back up plasticware packets that were sufficient. They’ve only been open a week and are ironing out all the kinks so be mindful of that or wait a few more weeks for them to settle in. I will definitely be back again and again.
