Outstanding. Some of the best food I've ever had. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend. My girlfriends and I had a lovely time. They also have an outstanding selection of bourbons that are difficult to find elsewhere.

Upon taking a romantic weekend to San Antonio, myself and my partner were looking for an upscale meal to round off a lovely evening. The restaurant itself was physically hard to find, nestled deceptively in what appeared to be an office building. The lighting and vibe was inherently cozy, somewhat overly so. It was difficult not to bump elbows with the wait staff down the long and narrow place, I felt starved for air through the meal. The fish and wine pairings were 'good' but not anything revolutionary or creative and arrived to our table with concerning speed. Combined with the hefty price tag, we weren't all that impressed and was left hoping for more. Sorry Biga, won't recommend to a friend. However, +10 points to the server on water attendant duty. His diligence, timing and occasionally sly quips were the most memorable part of the meal.

Wow. That's pretty much all. Just go here. You'll like it. Expensive, yes. But worth it. I'll be back and I'm compulsively cheap. Food was wonderful. Cocktails are fabulous. Staff is friendly and attentive. Just the bread basket is worth the effort.

RESTAURANT WEEK FOR BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
Restaurant week is definitely a time to go if you'd like to experience fine dining on a more reasonable price. Reserving a table might also get you a good spot. You can also have wine pairing for an additional $30 or $50 if you'd like to have premium wine. NOTE: Price stated for wine pairing are for the 3 course.

I don't know if it was because we called ahead of time or because we were celebrating our anniversary (and had told them ahead of time,) but we got our own table in a curtained off area. Which I adored as I enjoy my privacy. We watched lit up boats drive by once in a while and it was quite a charming thing to see the water reflecting different colors.

We had Jose as our wonderful waiter. He was very attentive and kindly explained the different wine pairings that we had. How it compliments our plates and what to expect of the wine by itself.

But more importantly the food was amazing. I have no words to describe other than excellent.

Talk about great food and great service! Biga does not disappoint. I had Lamb Chops and my friend had the Quail and Antelope. Both meals were cooked perfectly and very tasty. We rounded out the meal with Sticky toffee pudding which was recommended by our Server English who was phenomenal. It was absolutely delicious. If you want a great meal with exceptional service get over to Biga on the Banks, trust me you won't be dissatisfied!!
