Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse

This San Antonio Brazilian Steakhouse is great in quite a few ways so I just wanted to highlight what I found awesome about it on my last visit in early April 2019:

* Great service - the whole staff seems to work as a cohesive unit that puts service above everything else
* Great salad bar - I know you've heard it before, but this salad bar is just fantastic
* Excellent quantity AND quality of meats - not only do they have the best to cuts to offer, they come around with the good stuff pretty frequently

Overall, this place is not as crowded as a couple of the other places just up the road but don't let that stop you from enjoying a great night with the only downside being the meat-sweats.

The absolutely best steak house in San Antonio!!! Highly recommended, specially for any special occasion. I eat here at least 2-3 times a week. The owners and managers are very friendly. Clean and sophisticated place. Luv it!!!

Have done Brazilian Steak houses in California, Nevada and Texas. The food is excellent, the service the best, staff was very attentive and polite. Great ambience not too dark or light, dress comfortable, saw shorts (nice) to suits. This place rocks! Will be back. Oh, before I forget, less expensive than most other Brazilian Steak houses.

Still a good place to go when I'm in San Antonio but the up keep it starting to slack.

People are still friendly, but this too has diminished a bit the last few times I have been there.

My wife and I decided to try this place because we have had amazing experiences at other Brazilian places in San Antonio. This place looked to be a new place to add to our list. The staff was friendly and the food was decent, but not for the price tag. At first glance it looks and feels like the competition, but if you have been to the competition don't expect the same level of quality. The salad bar had cheese that was dried out and looked like it had been there for a while. The meats were all tougher and more chewy than I would expect. If it had been just one cut of meat that was wrong I would understand, but I had cold, chewy, dry and flavorless cuts.

They were close to getting the experience right at first glance, but I would rather go somewhere else for the money. If their prices were 20 percent cheaper I would probably not have as high of expectations.

I hate to give a bad review, but you need to know what you are in for

First time here & everything was amazing, as soon as I walked in, they were friendly & welcoming. The place is dim lit & beautiful. The food was delicious, along with the wine selection.. but what really topped it off was the service.. the service was fantastic & they were so polite. Definitely will return & will recommend to everyone.
