Luby's

The food at Luby's Cafeteria on Blanco & 1604 is always just what you were craving. With a dozen "home cooked" entrees and vegetables, Luby's consistently delivers. GREAT for families and they have rolling high chairs for the littles!
My "go to" entree is usually the delicious fried fish but I have also enjoyed their roast, prime rib, turkey, fried chicken, smothered chopped steak, baked chicken, and perfectly fried liver & onions. They also have specialty items that change throughout the year, such as, enchiladas, Spaghetti, Pork Chops, Chicken Fried Steak and many more.
Their country style vegetables are never over-cooked and are perfectly seasoned. With each meal you get a choice of a soft dinner roll or regular or jalapeno cornbread.
For dessert, there is a consistent variety of pies, cheesecake, cakes, & cobblers. Their sweet or unsweet tea is crisp, clear, and delicious with sodas on tap.
The wait staff & management are friendly & efficient.
The only negatives, in my opinion, are they close at 8:00 pm and the bathrooms need to be updated.

Luby’s is always a great place for home cooking. Fast & great service.

Family Meals... so good. Came in on a Weds. I look forward to going back again. This place has a great feel to it.

Shelly was great serving us. Tended to my families needs. Food was great. Wife had the salmon I had the Top Sirloin. One issue is that it states it was Top sirloin I assume it was steak but it was actually ground Sirloin. It was still delicious.
