Lai Wah's Place

Literally the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! They are fast on their orders and amazing staff. If you live in the medical area then I highly recommend this place.

Great food, flavor, and taste. The inside was not fancy or the best but the service and food is somthing I will always go back for. Left me craving and it’s great to finally find a good Chinese place near by. Orange chicken and hot sour soup was delicious.

Really great place with wonderful service. Everyone is so nice and they make you feel like at home. Food is really good too, I had the friend shrimp and the breading was fresh, crunchy and delicious. The wonton soup was good and the fried rangoons were really tasty.

I wish I would've taken a pic of the orange chicken I had but unfortunately it didn't make it. Sitting down at this quaint restaurant was very nice. We ordered the orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. We also got some soup, hot and sour and egg drop which were both real tasty. My husband liked the hot and sour a lot which is very surprising, he doesn't like it from anywhere! The orange chicken is heavenly, made with real orange peels and has the right amount of spice. I will definitely be back here soon. It is fresh all around!

The prices are good, the food is palatable. What is outstanding is their take away service. They are conscientious to get your order right and they make sure you leave with the right order. If you phone in an order, they usually have it ready in 15 minutes and it’s usually waiting for you when you arrive. So if you’re between the Medical Center neighborhood and Balcones Heights and you want a quick meal at a reasonable price this is the place.
