Im constantly on the hunt for a new spot. And as soon as I find one I end up finding a better one. This is the better one. Food portions were bigger than expected. We were full and still had left overs to feed plenty. Food was hot and seasoned like home (Louisiana). True BBQ and Soul food mixed. Definitely worthy of more than 5 stars

Amazing food and great friendly service. Worth every penny you spend. You will definitely find something you like on the menu. The gentleman at the register was very helpful and honest about everything on the menu. We will definitely be back to try something else.

The food was outstanding, had the "The Big Easy" plate and it was a lot of meats in a bun. Brisket, pulled pork, 2 sausage links. Been to so many BBQ places but by far the meats were pull apart tender. Wife had the ribs and the meat was falling off the bone tender. I recommend this place is $$, but worth the cost. Staff was really friendly and polite. Try it you'll like it!

Comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was delicious and came out quick. Be advised it is near Fort Sam and it was a Sunday when we ate there. The selection of meat was pretty wide with everything from chicken, brisket and sausage to smoked turkey. The corn on the cob was excellent. I would strongly recommend this for a weekend bite!

The brisket is perfect. Tender, just the right amount of smoke, delicious. The barbecue sauce is excellent, not too thick and compliments the meat perfectly. The ribs also wonderful, tender, juicy yummy. The red beans are the best I've ever had. The potato salad is a little different, but in a good way. It's potato salad for sure, and it's really good. The catfish melts in your mouth. The music is the best music there ever was. The mac and cheese, I'm not a fan. I don't care about mac and cheese, i love this place. Now i don't have to go to smoke shack anymore. Thank God.
