The food was delicious, fast service and so convenient to be right there off base. It was a hectic week, not jabbing to go far was a blessing!

We were at Lackland to see our son graduate from the Security Forces. The service at this restaurant was fantastic, fast, & friendly, and the delicious authentic Tex-Mex food was very reasonably priced! I had the nopales huevos with beans, potatoes, & flour tortillas on the side while my husband had scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, & the fluffiest pancakes ever! My son enjoyed the breakfast burrito with eggs, beans, & cheese. The chips and salsa to start were delicious! We’ll definitely be back!!

If ya’ll are needing a good place to eat, I highly recommend the Taqueria El Charro De Jalisco. It’s right outside the Valley Hi Gate at Lackland AFB. It’s a little “mom and pop” Mexican restaurant that was phenomenal! Quick service, truly authentic delicious food, huge variety, reasonable pricing. The food was fantastic. Great portion sizes. We all got different entrees and there were nothing but rave reviews and compliments on the taste, the freshness, and how authentic the food was (we are a well-traveled group, so we know!) Last night, the nine of us walked in, sat down, and had our meals within 15 minutes. That kind of service is rare! I always like to support the small places like this, so keep it in mind if your crew is hungry!
