We accidentally ended up being there after closing because their posted time online was ten. But they were not even cranky with us. Still super nice waitress even though we kept her after closing.
Good food and staff. We got there late but was still felt welcome. They need to update the hours of operation on their web site. They closed at nine. Numerous people thought ten.
I hadn't been here in several years so I thought I'd give them a try. The lunch menu and buffet were offered. There were 3 meat choices on buffet: meatloaf, beef in gravy, and of course fried chicken. The veggies were either soggy looking, overcooked and/or unseasoned. There were biscuits on the buffet probably left from breakfast. My meal consisted of 1 piece of fried chicken mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad.
Although the buffet was small with few choices, the salad bar had more to offer. Anyways for the $9.99 price I could have done lots better going to Furr's or Golden Corral. A least they have more choices ice cream and plenty of other desserts. In my opinion Shoney's needs to pump up the volume.
The moment I opened the door, I was greeted with a warm smile by the friendly hostess. The waitress serving our table seated us. The table was clean and she promptly got our drinks. The gentlemen at the buffet kept the food hot and properly stocked with fresh food. They cleaned up after people diligently. Our waitress never let our drinks go empty and brought us the bill immediately. I was impressed with the service from start to finish. Kudos to the staff. I definitely tipped accordingly!
