This is one of those hole in the wall places that doesn’t look too great but their food makes up for it.

The restaurant is somewhat hidden in a plaza and the parking lot is usually pretty full. The parking lot itself doesn’t look too great which made me almost reconsider coming here but a friend recommended it.

Inside you’ll find your standard amount of tables and decent decor. The restaurant looks a bit outdated and worn but it wasn’t that big of a deal. It also has that very home type feeling which made it welcoming.

If this is your first time coming here you’ll need to head to the register to order your food, pick your drinks, then find a seat. There is no table service other than the food being delivered to you but there’s an area where you can pretty much self serve yourself when it comes to utensils and stuff.

We ordered the lunch special which came with the main dish (the gyro, it was a beef/lamb combo but they have one in chicken as well!) and a side of fries or salad. Everything totaled about $7 and some change including the drink.

Overall I’d say the food is pretty great. The sauce that comes with the gyro is very unique (in the sense that I’ve never had a gyro before till now) but it was delicious.

I would 10/10 recommend this place if you’re need a quick bite to eat that’s budget friendly.

Let's start with the food which is some of the best Greek food I've had in San Antonio. The location itself is a little hole in the wall but the food punches well above its weight and I highly recommend this place. The staff is very welcoming and all food is made when ordered so do plan for about a 10 minute wait while they get everything together for your order.

If I could give them 2 different ratings, then I would. Their chicken is amazing, but their salad is literally chunks of iceberg lettuce and giant chunks of tomatoes. I went there a few months ago and they were out of chicken. Then, I went there again recently and they told me they wouldn’t serve me because they were closing, but it wasn’t even 7 pm yet (their sign said they weren’t closing for over an hour). Super good chicken though.

The BEST hummus & pita bread I've ever had. Everything was very fresh, authentic, and delicious. Very reasonably priced, too. It's a cute family-run hole in the wall that I'm so glad we chose to stop at before our drive back to Houston. Will definitely be going back for a gyro & hummus the next time we visit San Antonio. ????
