Islla Street Brewing Company

One of the best up and coming breweries in San Antonio. I have not had a bad beer from them yet. Also helps that they're some of the nicest people ever as well.

This place is golden. True small batch craft beer and lots of passion for the business. Definitely fills a void in the NE side of town when it comes to real diverse tap walls. These boys seem to be on the right track to success, can't wait to see them grow in the future. The 1606 beer was phenomenal.

Delicious beers! They recently opened in San Antonio and definetly worth a visit. Beers have an interesting twist. Their beers change up weekly, so if you have a favorite, like I did (most of them), they may not be here next visit. BUT, that means more to sample. ???? Make it a point to sample their beers.

I'm really torn on this one. On the one hand I loved the atmosphere of the place. The staff, patrons, and owners all gave off a great and friendly vibe. I really want to like this place.

The problem is the beer itself. Literally all of their beer is flavored (guava seemed to be the most common when I went). Maybe that's your thing. If it is, then this is the place for you. Personally, I like to be able to taste the flavor of the beer itself, and not just the fruit/flavor that they added to it. The flavoring was too much for me, and completely overpowered the beer itself. The flavor needs to be toned down to compliment the beer, not overwhelm it. Since I am not a huge fan of the beer itself, it's especially frustrating that they are charging ~$6 average for a smaller than average glass of beer. It just seems like too much.

Having said that, I will probably be back, if just because I like the atmosphere so much, even if the beer isn't exactly what I'm looking for.

Great customer service, Awesome beer, Cool decor But most of all the owners and the employees were very very friendly. They're very willing to help to figure out what beer best fits your palette. Definitely will be going back again and again and again.
