This place is good! Real, down home, good ol soul food with the perfect seasonings. I loved it!. You gotta eat here. The only con is that they actually shut the doors 1 hour before quitting time to clean up. Prices are reasonable. Definitely going back. I had the catfish plate with greens and mashed potatoes. My husband had the fried chucked with spinach and mashed potatoes. #yum

It was so delicious and the best customer service I've ever had!! We were seated quickly and we got our food in a timely manner. Kev, our waiter was awesome and very funny!! I would definitely recommend eating here!! You won't regret it!!

Wow. Not the most beautiful place but the food makes up for that. I went with my sister. We both got the fried chicken and Mac and cheese. I also got some candied yams. What can I say besides it was absolutely delicious. I could not believe how fast out food was ready. Didn't like the sweet tea at all but I brought my own water so I was set. Had I read the menu closely I would have seen they had Kool aid!! Score! I will definitely be going back again soon. Next time with more people.

Oh my ... the food is divine! I finally found a place that serves "homemade" style fried chicken and sides that are soul satisfying! The food was served warm, which has not been the case at the other restaurants I have visited recently in my search for decent fried chicken. The baked macaroni and cheese was awesome! The black-eyed peas were good, I actually wanted another serving. The waiter was super friendly. Give this Eastside establishment a try, you will be happy you did. The restaurant is a cute little house.

I Visited San Antonio with my family and stumbled across this restaurant from google search. Was greeted at the door by one of the employees who was very welcoming followed by 5 star service from Daisy our waitress. She was very friendly and also knowledgeable about the menu in helping us to decide what to order so that we were all able to get a taste of every that was from the menu. The food was AMAZING!!!! I loved everything that I ordered from the fried chicken, smothered pork chops, greens, Mac & Cheese and cornbread. We even ordered food to take back home. This place and the staff were all very personable and friendly. It truly felt like home. I really am glad I was able to dine here as I will definitely be back again!!!
