Bill Miller Bar-B-Q

Bill Miller has been serving great barbecue in San Antonio for many years since 1953. They are great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve great breakfast tacos. The fried chicken is some of the best around town. The brisket, beans and potato salad are also delicious along with the dark rye bread. We love it.

Lunch and dinner are great. Breakfast tacos not so much. Brisket was dry and the tacos were packed in a way that alot of the filling came out in the foil.

I was lost. Just standing there. Out of my element. Overwhelmed by the choices. Then she smiled at me. Like the sun on a gloomy day. “Can I help you?” She said. Her name was Brittanee. I had never been to a Bill Miller’s before so I had no idea what to get. I was shaking, self conscious, shy. But she took me by the hand and walked me to the cash register. Gently she prodded me to make my decision. Each answer I gave was met with a gorgeous smile and approving sparkling eyes. It must have taken 3 minutes for me to answer all her questions but i lived a thousand lifetimes in my mind with her. We got married , we had kids, grandchildren. “SIR YOUR TOTAL IS $16.21”
I snapped out of it. I thanked her and awkwardly excused myself. What did my chicken taste like? I don’t remember . I just remember those eyes and that smile. Best. Customer. Service. Ever.
