California Pizza Kitchen

The Jamaican jerk chicken with cauliflower crust compares with pizza from Jamaica! The spices are just right. Our server Peter was very nice, and so was the manager on duty (Amy?) and the server with "Good Looking" on his name tag. This is a family friendly restaurant (Huebner location), and there were a couple of tables with vocal young children (including ours) who felt very welcome. Sooo glad we decided to go there tonight!

Chopped Italian salad good but noticed bartender taking payment, on cash register, open drink instruction folder, touch her glasses then turn around and use bare hands to garnish plated food. Also noticed another person in plain clothes do same thing..no gloves after handling menus n using jeans to wipe hands after finished garnishing. Also noticed another worker lick some sauce off her hand then use ladle to put some sauce in a small to go cup. Also noticed cook in kitchen reach inside shirt and scratch armpit and continue preparing food. Night shift cleanliness and food service protocols don't seem to be a priority here!

Always a great experience when I eat here. I usually have their kumpo (sorry about spelling) spicy spaghetti but this time I tried the spicy pizza. It was pretty good too.

So the BBQ chicken pizza made me a believer! The idea was kind of a turn off but it's now what I order when I'm getting the lunch specials---all of which are great. I love the lunch specials. Always good food and great service. It's a good place for me to meet with my friends. Laid back, pleasant. They also have delicious calorie friendly options too. My favorite is probably the shrimp and spaghetti squash dish.

The food was great. And the pasta is probably one of the best pastas that you can get. Very authentic and just the right amount of everything. The pizza was pretty good too ,but the service was kinda slow.
