Taco Cabana

Mrs Laura always comes to work with the consumer in mind. Great service and beyond, these are the people whom deserve raises and positions to encourage. ????????

Slowly getting better again, not back to the quality of the late 80's but improving.

After doing some contracted assignments on this side of town, I had a small hankering for a taco, but very limited funds. So yeah, I ordered the crispy beef taco kids meal with beans and rice. And an Apple Fanta for my drank. My order taker/cashier seemed distracted and not in the mood to be working, as he carelessly took my order and asked what kind of taco meat and sides I wanted AFTER I repeated it to him... Twice.

The kitchen crew had more pizzazz and sense of urgency, as my meal came out hot, fresh, and quickly (maybe 2 minutes at the most). The salsa bar was stocked and relatively clean, and I mixed the Chipotle salsa with their salsa ranch. I decided to sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather we've been enjoying out here in SATX lately. The patio was clean and had plenty of tables and was covered!

The taco was crunchy, hot, and tasty! Wish I could say the same about the refried beans (bland). I mixed the rice and beans and added the last of my mixed salsa to add much needed flavor.

Besides the lack of flavor in the beans and rice and the cashier's behavior, this was a nice break from my early evening's hustle! I would definitely visit again.

Giving this place 5 Stars because I love this TC and the way Maria runs it, but Warning about the Gift Cards (Corp Policy). At the one year mark TC begins to take a $2/month admin fee. I don't agree with this at all and won't be buying these as gifts any longer. The bigger gift went to TC Corporate, we lost about $20 on two cards.

Very good fresh crispy and soft tacos! Nice atmosphere. The cashier got our order wrong, but the taco maker made it correct so no worries.
