I have had a very difficult time finding good pizza in San Antonio and I am so glad Il Forno is here to fill the gap. What strikes me most about this restaurant is how transparent they are about how they spend your money. The in-house charcuterie is prominently displayed as you walk in. The locally sourced ingredients are fresh, sometimes plucked from their adjacent garden. Even the piquant hot sauce adorning the tables is hand-made in house. If you are a pizza lover or just a fan of expertly made food, Il Forno is a must-visit restaurant.

Excellent pizza! Had the ‘ fun guy’ it was excellent. Someone else said great pizza in a sketchy location. That pretty much sums it up. The pizza is epic. You won’t be sorry.

Delicious, scratch-made pizza in THE cutest location. The front patio area is decked out with citrus trees, fresh herbs and other goodies in their garden... all of which end up on your pizza. Great happy hour, drink choices, staff, etc. 10/10 would recommend. Cute date night spot!

Each personal pie is about $14. Appetizers are about $10. A meal for two will cost about $50 and you will walk away not completely full. I guess that could be a good thing though. Fresh food; most of the items served are made in-house. Tasty food; the home-style taste gives this place its own identity. Great indoor venue; very hip-looking as well as clean. The bathroom is co-ed. Interesting locale in the middle of an urban neighborhood. Second time frequented. Would visit again.

Pizza. You would think it's easy to make, easy to build a business on. If that's true, then there should be a bunch of pizza places everywhere. Il Forno is special since their pizzas are scratch made. No distribution center prepared all the ingredients in a mass market kind of way. Great, tasty food; comfy place; reasonable prices... what's not to like about that?
