The General Public

Bacon burger was one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. Crab & shrimp poboy was nice and meaty. Beer selection was small but well-curated with small/special brands. Service was friendly and fast.

One of my new favorite places in The Rim to eat and/or have drinks. They have amazing drink specials during the week. Their food is equally amazing and what keeps me coming back. Try the crab hush puppies! Has lovely indoor and outdoor seating. Their service is good with very friendly people!

$3 at 3:00, $4 at 4:00, $5 at 5:00 happy hours. Well executed bar drinks, good pub grub, and excellent staff. Only reason for the lack of the final star is the charred okra tasted a little like the fish and chips. But the green chile grilled cheese came out great.

Fried okra was very good. Gulf oysters were good size and the homemade cocktail sauce had some heat to it. Green Chile grilled cheese add bacon was...as you would expect...heavenly! The pork & greens was a nice take on a traditional southern dish. Our server was polite & attentive. Would definitely come back when in town.
