Comfort Cafe San Antonio

Comfort Cafe is a great place to eat. The menu has a variety of items to choose from, for breakfast, eggs, pancakes waffles, etc. and for lunch, salads, sandwiches and hamburgers. The one thing you won't see on the menu is prices. It is all based on cash donations, whatever you can give, plus the tip, which is put in a collective jar and then split. The atmosphere is very artsy, with record albums on the wall, painted murals and positive quotes throughout the resturant.

The wait staff is excellent, when they pass by your table they will ask if you need anything and how is everything going. Gabriel was very attentive and very informative about the menu and the story behind the restaurant. Food was very good and fast. Pleasant clean atmosphere.

Please know that this cafe is cash/check only. However, this place is absolutely DELICIOUS! We went with a large party on a Sunday after church, and we were welcomed with open arms. Our waiter was very polite, and quick. Food is served in pretty large portions, and is absolutely AMAZING. We will definitely be back!!!

We LOVED this place! Great food and staff!!Easily the type of place featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives and I can’t wait for the next time we go there for breakfast or lunch. Very good food. Donation based pricing . Proceeds are used to support alcohol and drug rehabilitation in the San Antonio area. Nice clean restaurant and rest rooms. Very relaxed atmosphere. Cash or check only! After 3 meals here it has become my favorite eatery.
