De Wese's Tip Top Cafe

My husband I always try to see all triple D places within our area. When we walked in I was completely amazed at the history in the place, the portions were HUGE, the service over the top. The downfall, the big thing on triple D the onion rings and chicken fried steak. Onion rings were amazing, however I felt the chicken fried steak gravy had very little flavor. Although it was a huge portion I feel like it was not something I would ever go back for. I know this is a HomeTown place and I feel guilty for knocking it but I've had many chicken fried steaks and that was a whole reason I was excited to go and I was kind of let down. However the people, the place, and the experience is well worth it!

I remembered coming here forty years ago for the chicken fried steak. Good use same updating a the seats had springs poking us. Chicken fried steak was good but not as hot as I wished. Sides were there same. Wife's chicken tenders came out hour and fresh.

The food was great. Had the chicken fried steak. Yes it needed seasoning but that's the way I wanted it. I can not have salt on my food so it worked out great. For as the service was horrible. Our waitress never came around to fill my tea. Had to ask for silverware after or food already came. Everytime we needed something we had to flag her down. I will go back and give them another chance. Maybe they were just having a bad day.
