I was really hungry. I'm closer to the 250 and this place at the spot. This is not your average Mexican restaurant.
It's not just a presentation the food is amazing and bursting with flavor.
I don't know if I ever knew what Mexican is supposed to taste like, but This just set the bar very high.
It’s hard to give a perfect score but nothing about this place is anything less than extraordinary. From all the dishes, to the server, cocktails and even the salsa. I’m so sad I do not live here but I am Thinking of commuting once a month from Austin just to have the taste of Mexico again. Thank you to the whole staff and chefs kiss!!!!!
A friend and I had breakfast at this restaurant at the recommendation of another friend. The ambiance is lovely as is the decor and staff. My friend had Huevos rancheros and I had Huevos tulenos. The food was served hot off the grill and the tortillas were thin and fresh. Unfortunately, both of us became unwell so we won’t be going back. This restaurant was obviously popular as it filled up quickly with patrons. Hopefully, others will have more tolerant tummies.
Definitely go here and get you some mole chilaquiles! Hands down the best mole I have ever had! We also had the enchilada trio plate, and it did not disappoint! The corn tortillas are handmade which makes all the difference! 🤤 We had a group of 15 and they sat us quickly, took our order and had our food ready and plated beautifully within 20 minutes. Very impressive! The restaurant is clean, they have wonderful service and the prices are incredibly reasonable. We will be back!
Hidden gem tucked away in a corner of San Antonio. Forgot what this building used to be... glad it's El Catrin now! We wanted to try something new, and this did not disappoint!! 🤩🤩
It's a big space that has people coming in constantly. I was amazed to see how servers were able to keep the tables rotating and wait times down to a minimum. The patio looks like a good time, however it was freezing on our visit. Check back in the summer.
The table service was excellent. The guac and salsa were perfect. I ordered a little off menu, mixing two flavors of enchiladas. Not a problem. My wife ordered the caldo. The flavors were 👌 and we left there fat and happy.
Will definitely be back soon!
