Gibby’s Ice House

I wanted to love this place! I’m an avid supporter of any place in the southeast side of town. It’s growing and has so much potential unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to that. I got the pizza with everything on it and it was very undercooked. The food came out cold. There was barely any sauce on the pizza, the mushrooms and bell peppers were just thrown on top cold. Not cooked with the rest of the pizza. Service was good and place was clean. Wish the food would of lived up to the rest.

The Texan burger relies too much on the pork for any flavor. Great idea but needs a better burger patty. Also, the "seasoned fries" are just regular fries - although I suppose they do have some seasoning on them - like salt. The tea tasted like lemon water. The staff seem to all be having a good time with each other but neglecting customers. I'll give it another chance but it was a rough introduction.

7:10 on a Sunday and we walk in. The music is up and it almost made forget its Sunday. So far so good, the atmosphere is good. Sign says wait to be seated and almost instantly we are told to sit where we please. Our waiter is quickly with us and is back with our 2 very COLD BEERS. We start off with the barbacoa nachos and I must say they are an absolute 10!! The potion size is also very generous. We order a 12 inch loaded pizza and lemon pepper wings along with a couple of side salads. Lemon pepper wings are an absolute 10. The pizza is a strong 9. Waitstaff was very on top of everything. Sports are on the television., music is playing, and now just enjoying good food and good conversation. I did not research this place beforehand. We were driving and hungry and stopped in and well I just have to say it did not disappoint.

atmosphere was nice, the lemon pepper wings were on point for flavor. The fried mushrooms were good but super hot ask for a fork. The mixed drinks were awesome. The shot of adios mf was a bit bitter but the entire experience was good. I would definitely go back for more. The service was fast and friendly.
